01
“Pleased to meet you, won’t you guess my name…” A LEGENDARY opening track. Whoo-hoo!!!
02
The Stones’ output in the 1960s and 1970s is nothing short of extraordinary, but when you listen to Beggars Banquet, you know they reached another plane.
03
Sure, you got the Devil and “Street Fighting Man,” which are without compare. Take a moment to appreciate the deep cut, “Jigsaw Puzzle.” The track introduces an eclectic set of characters, and I still have no clue how to put the pieces together. Start with “20,000 grandmas.”
Verdict
If you’re not a convert by the closing track, then I’m sorry—get off of my cloud. But if you get Beggars Banquet, then let’s drink to the salt of the earth.
